With Covid restrictions lifting across the country, I’ve had the good fortune to be able to get away to the Island Of Skomer which is home to 35,000 breeding puffins. These charismatic little birds come to the coast of Skomer each year to rekindle their bonds with the same partner in the same hole and to raise little pufflings (adorable name). I made two trips: one in May when the pairs had recently arrived and were busy with nests and courting; and then a second visit in June when they have laid their eggs. The second visit had awful weather which could have dampened my spirits but actually they made for some cracking dramatic shots. You can see more i you navigate to the projects tab at the top!
